Yardly Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Yardly handles information used to provide property services and support customer accounts.

1. Overview

Yardly collects and uses information to schedule and document property services, communicate with clients, maintain service history, provide invoices, and support customer accounts. Yardly is an application used by Yardly’s own property-service clients; it is not a public marketplace.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Yardly, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and service or property address.
  • Account identifiers.
  • Service requests and scheduled and completed job information.
  • Property and service notes.
  • Before-and-after service photographs and service reports.
  • Notifications and push-notification tokens.
  • Invoices, payment status, refunds, and service-purchase history.
  • Limited payment-method information supplied by Stripe, such as card brand, expiration date, and the last four digits.
  • Location information when you choose to provide it for weather or service-related functionality.
  • Technical information reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, and app operation.

Yardly does not store complete payment-card numbers.

3. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • Create and maintain accounts.
  • Schedule and perform services.
  • Communicate job status and send notifications.
  • Document completed work.
  • Manage invoices and payments.
  • Provide customer support.
  • Prevent fraud and unauthorized access.
  • Comply with accounting, warranty, dispute, and legal obligations.
  • Improve app reliability and functionality.

4. Service providers

Yardly may use third-party providers necessary to operate the service, including Supabase for authentication, databases, server functions, and file storage; Stripe for payment processing and payment-method management; Expo for mobile application and push-notification infrastructure; Open-Meteo or comparable weather providers when weather functionality is used; and Apple for iOS distribution and device services.

5. Payments

Payments relate to physical property services performed outside the app. Payment information is processed by Stripe. Yardly may retain Stripe customer identifiers, payment status, card brand, expiration date, and the last four digits for account and transaction management. Online payment functionality may not be available at all times.

6. Photographs

Before-and-after photographs may be collected to document service performance, property conditions, warranties, disputes, and job history. New job photographs are intended to be stored privately and accessed only by authorized users.

7. Notifications

Push notifications may include scheduling updates, job-started notices, completion notices, service information, and invoice information. You can manage notification permission in iOS Settings.

8. Location and weather

Location access is optional and is used only for weather or service-related functionality when enabled. Coordinates may be sent to a weather provider to retrieve local conditions. Yardly does not use this information for advertising or behavioral tracking.

9. Data sharing

Yardly does not sell personal information. Information may be shared only with service providers, authorized Yardly personnel, or when reasonably required for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute purposes.

10. Data retention

Information is retained only as reasonably necessary for account operation, service records, warranty support, accounting, payment disputes, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Retention needs vary by the type of record and the reason it is maintained.

11. Account deletion

You may initiate account deletion from within the Yardly app. Authentication access is revoked and you are signed out. Active sessions, push tokens, notifications, and active service requests are removed. The customer profile is archived and marked “Account Deleted.”

Completed jobs, invoices, payments, refunds, reports, estimates, warranty and property notes, photo metadata, and related service records may be retained as legitimate business records. Retained records are no longer connected to an active login. Some archival cleanup may require administrative processing. Contact hunter@yardlychs.com with questions about deletion or retained information.

12. Security

Yardly uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.

13. Children

Yardly is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Yardly’s services, practices, or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown above.
